A Gathering Of The Murray Clan
This website is dedicated to the genealogy, history, and continuing study into Murrays & their kin. All are welcome here and your suggestions are welcome also. I only ask that you not copy any materials from this site to be incorporated into any kind of profit-making endeavor. Materials on this site are from various sources and I can not grant permissions....but if you find this site personally interesting, I encourage you to copy for your use. If I exceed my server space, I will have to rotate some materials off to fit others on. This means that if you like it, you better save it.
I'm hoping that this site will allow the sharing of old photos or scannings of Family Bibles or whatever heirlooms that disperse to obscurity through the descendants. By collecting them here for you, we can share that which was only passed down to one and lost to others. Get in your attic and closets and dig out those photos and things that you do not think are important and scan them or find someone with a scanner. Preserve and Share.
My Murrays are the Murrays of Catawba County, North Carolina. Much of my material will be about them but I'm looking to add. For those of you who find this site useful, remember, it is yours. This goes beyond the fact that you are free to contribute info, suggestions, and make requests. I will accept ready-to-publish web materials or help create productions in areas of interest for those who have ideas. I hope that you are able to use this site as a research tool or just as a pasttime.
